Trunkaroo is a monthly subscription service for kids. Every month, we design and deliver delightful and enriching hands-on art, science, games and imaginative play projects for girls and boys. Perfect for ages 3-8.

Subscriptions

We ship our trunks during the first week of a month via royal mail. You should receive them shortly after. Where possible, we may ship the first trunk within 2-3 business days of your first order but this is not always possible because we prepare fresh new themes each month. We'll send you a notification when your trunk has shipped so you can look out for it.

We initially bill you at the time you place your order. Going forward, we bill on the 15th of each month.

We include generous amounts of high quality materials in all our trunks – many of our trunks, but not all, can generally accommodate two children. Of course, you can also purchase individual subscriptions for each child so they can open their own package each month!

Gift Subscription Plans: At the end of a gift subscription term, the subscription will expire. We'll send you and/or the gifter a renewal notice by email and you may choose to renew the subscription through your own Trunkaroo account or by contacting us.

Regular 3, 6 and 12 Month Subscription Plans: Our subscription plans are designed to renew automatically.  Just before the completion of your auto-renewing subscription term, we will send you a reminder email about the subscriptions automatic renewal. If you wish to cancel, you must do so before the 14th of that month. If you do not cancel before the 14th of that month, then your subscription will renew for the same number of months as you had originally purchased. For example, if you started a 3-month subscription in March, then we will send you a reminder around June 10thth and bill you for another three months on June 15th.

If you would like to renew for a longer period, just contact us and we will extend the date.

To truly delight our little explorers, we like to keep our themes a surprise! All our projects explore art and science topics, are reviewed by experts and tested by real kids to ensure that they are developmentally appropriate and also super fun! Our trunks are assigned each month based on availability and your order history – not all subscribers receive the same theme each month. 

We hate to see you leave, but you can cancel your subscription anytime after your initial pre-paid term is complete. Just make sure you cancel by the 14th of the month if you do not wish to receive that month's trunk. If you cancel after the 14th of a month then your subscription will be renewed for the term that you had initially chosen and you will continue to receive our trunks until that term of over.

If you purchased a gift subscription (for example 3,6, or 12-month plans), your subscription will automatically terminate when the original term is over. These are not eligible for cancellation mid-term.

We deliver via Royal Mail all over the UK. We can try to arrange for international shipping – please contact us before you place your order if you would like to receive a trunk somewhere other than the UK.

Absolutely! Trunkaroo trunks make wonderful gifts that keep on giving! Simply visit our gift page and make your gift selection (Single trunk, 3-, 6- or 12-month subscription or gift card). Then, provide details such as the child's name and shipping address. Your gift will be enjoyed for months to come!

We do our best to ensure that your trunk is in pristine condition when it leaves us! If you are missing items or if your trunk looks damaged (which can sometimes happen in transit) just give us a shout and we'll get the problem fixed as quickly as we can!

We do not accept returns unless an item is damaged. If you have an issue with your box, please contact us at hello@trunkaroo.com and we'll be happy to assist you!

Gifting

Visit our gift page and choose between our different gift options. You can purchase a single surprise trunk for the lucky recipient or choose one of our more popular pre-paid 3, 6, or 12-month gifts. We will charge your card at the time of the order and at the end of the term the gift subscription will automatically expire. You can always choose to extend the gift or purchase another one by emailing us.

Of course! At checkout, please add a note to let us know that you'd like the first trunk shipped to your billing address. After that, we'll send all subsequent trunks directly to the recipient.

Trunks come addressed to the child, so unless you include your name in the “Gift Note” field at checkout, the gift-giver will be a surprise!

We endeavor to ship all our trunks within the first week of the month. You’ll receive a shipping notification and should receive the trunk within a few days.
